The word “Teer” means archer. As the name goes, The game Teer is an archery game was initially played in Shillong of Meghalaya state in India.
Later, the game gained tremandous popularity in the other regions of the state and now more than thousands of Teer counters are there in Shillong, Khanapara and some other parts of the state of Meghalaya.
Now Teer game is being played in three counters- Khanapara, Shillong, and Juwai named as Khanapara Teer, Shillong Teer, and Juwai Teer.
The game is pretty simple. Professional archers from the different villages of Meghalaya are invited by the clubs (that organize the Teer game) to shoot on a common target.
They shoot their archers at the common target and the Teer counter calculates the number of archers that hit the target, where last two digits of that total are declared as the winning number or Teer result for the day. They play two rounds of it and results are declared twice as the first round and second round.
The spectators and other Teer players guess and buy the Teer numbers before 4 pm for the first round and before 5 pm for the second round.
The people whose numbers match the winning numbers are declared as the winners for the day and get rewards as specified. For daily Teer updates check out our website.
